Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Reece-Campbell?

What began in 1982 as an open-shop alternative to the union firm established by Bill Chronis in 1970, has grown to become the sixth-largest commercial building contractor in the greater Cincinnati area today. Dimi Campbell was Bill's first employee; she was his bookkeeper, Gal Friday, and chief cook and bottle washer'! Dimi retired in 1990 after many years of service. Joyce Reece, who remains with the company today, started in 1980 and has been an important part of Reece-Campbell's ongoing evolution and success. Our company name reflects the importance of our people who work behind the scenes to keep jobs running smoothly.

Today, our 75 employees provide general contracting and construction management services to a variety of clients throughout the Midwest. With billings nearing $80 million, we've managed projects such as the Voice of America Centre, the Givaudan Flavors plant addition, the Sycamore Executive Center and the development of numerous Kroger and Walgreens stores.

Reece-Campbell, Inc., is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

How far will you go?

We consider ourselves a regional contractor and regularly work between Columbus, Ohio, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Louisville/Lexington, Kentucky, although our Cincinnati headquarters serves as our home base. We have completed projects as far as Fairfax, Virginia, Lansing, Michigan, Rapid City, South Dakota, and Toledo, Ohio, for our clients who regularly negotiate work with us. We are currently licensed and/or legally qualified to do business in the following states; Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Virgina, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Illinois, South Dakota and Iowa.

Is my project too small?

Every project, small or large, has inherent challenges that are important and worth considering to every owner and/or contractor. Reece-Campbell works with a variety of companies on projects of all sizes, and we are committed to providing solutions and service that meet the unique needs of each regardless of a project's size. If you have a project you'd like to discuss, please contact Pete Chronis at (513)542-4600

Can my company afford a "big" construction company?

Engineering News Record magazine reports the national average fee for a general building contractor ranges from three to five percent of a project's pre-tax cost. Reece-Campbell has not changed its fee structure in 25 years making us a true value for all size project owners in today's competitive market for professional construction management services. If you're planning an expansion or new facility, we hope you consider our experts. To learn more, contact Pete Chronis at (513)542-4600
